Why should children learn to play Chess?
Chess is known as “the game of kings”. Rulers of empires and kingdoms saw in the game fitting practise for the strategizing and forecasting they themselves were required to do when dealing with other monarchs and challengers.
Playing chess helps unleash your creativity, increases problem-solving skills, teaches planning and foresight, improves reading skills, improves memory and exercises both sides of the brain.
Our official Staunton style competition-size chess board and plastic chess pieces will have you challenging someone to a match.
The chess pieces have non-scratch felt-lined bases for smooth movement. The King measures 9cm high.
The chessboard is hinged for durability.
